as a Christian also exploring Islam I'm focusing on what brings us closer. to the similarities. Jesus called us to love our neighbor and that if we judge to judge by their fruit. When the lady on TikTok called with a crying baby to see who would buy formula for a starving baby it was a no from most Christians but a yes from the Muslim church and that was eye opening. learning about the fasting for Ramadan that takes discipline and commitment, and nyc mayor making real changes for people and standing up for those without a voice. I wanna know more about my Muslim brothers and sister cause I think it will bring me closer to God.

The issue is that most Christians dont read thier bible cover to cover, they just take the famous verses and live with them. I urge Christians to read thier bible, they will be shocked.

I apologize to keep commenting… but, I need to tell you that this whole series and this comment section is making me feel so emotional!! You are bringing so much light! You know the ones on the faaaar right (magats) keep trying to instill this fear of a “Muslim takeover”. What I’m seeing here is a takeover of sorts-in the most beautiful way possible!! It’s finding common ground with our communities. Finding out that the propaganda against one faith doesn’t make another faith better or superior. Causing us to ask Allah/God pbuh to search our hearts and to reveal himself to us in his way and timing is a beautiful way! I’m learning so much from you and I cannot wait to receive my copy of The Quran!! Thank you so much for this series!

The Quran always says fight those who fight you first. Drive them out where they have driven you out. But never transgress. And if they seek peace seek peace as well. Fighting in Islam is for self defense and oppression.

@Jessica McDonald Well work of a man (or manmade stuff ) will have inconsistencies or contradictions,will get obsolete with time (new information, new norms ,scientific break through),will have slavery, racism (while God created all humans as equals with diverse capabilities). Quran passes all these tests ,gives larger framework and let's us deal with the situations at our time accordingly within that framework. Now the translations have mistakes as the challenge for the translator is to have the correct meaning of the Quranic word but when these words have 12 to 19 meaning then it's fair to say the context of the verse dictates the meaning.
