@caradoc_conditioning: How to build legs for rugby People seriously overcomplicate it Jump, squat, hinge covers 75% of it. I’m not exaggerating. The rest of your session helps work on specifics or fills in the gaps. If you had an hour long session and spent 15 minutes on jumps, same on squats, same on hinge - you’re 45 minutes in and that’s actually well spent. Here’s an example that has a strong amount of volume. I wouldn’t opt for more than this, yet I see people doing another 3-5 exercises… This is PLENTY. Both sessions I’ve used with hundreds of players with great success. Broad jumps 3 x 3 Approach Box Jumps 3 x 3 Barbell Back Squats 3 x 4-6 (RPE8) Romanian Deadlifts 3 x 6-8 (RPE8) Nordics 2 x 6 Weighted Cossack Squats 2 x 6-8 (each side) Calf raises 2 x 6-8 Weighted sit ups 2 x 6-8 Simple, effective, efficient.
