They’re supposed to represent it but yea it falls flat cause people have a real reason to fear mutants. That being said they’re okay with most super powered individuals it’s legit just mutants. At one point they hated spider man then found out he wasn’t one then was cool with him

this is a bad take. the government in xmen created giant robots to kill mutants and mutant children because they are afraid of powers they 90% of the time never use unless hunted down. they kidnap children and use the rhetoric that they are dangerious. if your willing to do someone harm just because your scared of what they might be capable of you gotta reevaluate 😭.

so this tell me you only have the base level of X-Men and mutants knowledge. because not every mutant is born with an outward offensive power. if you read the comics you will see their mutants who just have different color skin and they're hated because of their skin because of the fear of others. just like some whites hate black people based on their skin and what others have done. the allegory is perfectly fine when you look at it as a whole but when you start picking little small parts it falls apart like every allegory. not all black people are thugs not all mutants have the abilities that you just listed off. you see how the allegory fixes itself when you realize not all mutants have the same power just like not all black he opposed the same threat because in the minds of a bigot in the minds of a racist black people pose a threat no matter what and that same bigotry is rolled over to the Friends of Humanity in the X-Men Comics who think just because of mutant has different color skin they have their ability to control people with Minds. just because of mutant has a different color skin or scales that are power to blow up a school. because you have these biggest in real life who think just because someone is black that their kid hanging around them is going to make their kid f******. or just because they're black if they're around them they're going to get a lower iq. you see how the allegory comes back to being real when you actually put it beside the entire picture instead of a small piece of the pie
