How big of a problem is the issue with workers in tech jumping out of buildings or offing themselves in other ways? I ask ignorantly because these are the type of human rights violation narratives that make rounds. I've seen them and I think it's horrible, but I'd like to think I'm wise enough to know that one or two stories I've seen I've rth years doesn't mean it's wide spread. The other thing you see is people cramped in tight living quarters. Again Only seen this a few times over the years. If it isn't wide spread then OK, but if it is, it certainly should be addressed. Also over simplifying "Can't get on Facebook" is a little crude even if it is being Facetious.

Genuine question and I'm not trying to dunk on anybody. The poverty numbers are real, the literacy numbers are real, the housing and rail buildout is real, and I'd take that over what we do here. But I keep getting told those things prove communism works, and I don't understand the step where the party name becomes the evidence. The DPRK has democratic and republic in its name and is neither. The Nazi party had socialist in its name and shot the socialists first. So what is the actual test here. Because by Hurun's 2026 list China now has 1,110 billionaires, more than the United States has. Independent unions are illegal, the ACFTU is the only legal federation, its own charter says it operates under the leadership of the party, and workers have no legal right to strike. Wildcat strikes get broken up by police. If a country where the boss class is the largest on earth and workers legally cannot organize against them counts as communism, then what would not count. That's the part I want answered. Not the wins. The definition. Tell me which policy is the communist part and I'll listen.

it is good to be skeptical and China has its issues, but every country has issues and a past. China chose to move forward and bring its people. We could all learn from China and social collectivism

What happens if Capitalist America stopped all trade with Communist China. All of a sudden Communist China won’t be doing so great will it. No more American jobs to steal, unemployment goes way up. Check in on their homeless numbers then.

China for much of its history has had a concept where the government is obligated to the people. Emperors in the past had the heavenly mandate to rule only when they could do so benevolently and competently. The CPC is a continuation of that tradition. Keep it up, China. I hope the rest of the world will eventually catch on to the idea.
