Irene’s eyes were bloodshot, Seulgi’s voice hoarse, Kai and Jungkook’s bodies tense from constant sweeps. Yet none dared to falter — Lisa’s presence at the center was heavier than the fatigue itself. _ Finally, Irene slammed her hand against the desk, her voice breaking through the fatigue. _ Irene: “Got it. The SUV. Traced it. Warehouse district, abandoned building. That’s where he took her.” _ Lisa didn't even hesitate a second she went out and drove her car faster than a bullet to where jennie then the Helix followed. _ Lisa’s POV The warehouse loomed ahead, shadows stretching across the cracked pavement. I moved silently, faster than the team behind me. My heart pounded, my fists clenched. _ I pushed the door open, the stench of dust and rust filling my lungs. And then I saw her — bruised, broken, restrained. Her lips swollen, cut, her body trembling. My chest burned with rage. _ Lisa (thinking): They hurt her. They touched her. Whoever did this will regret ever breathing. _ I rushed to Jennie, my hands careful, terrified I might break her further. My voice dropped to a whisper, softer than I’d ever spoken. _ Lisa: “I’m so sorry, hon. I’ve got you, baby. You’re safe now.” _ But before I could finish, a shadow shifted. A thin woman covered in tattoos stepped out from the darkness, her face twisted, her hand gripping a gun. The metallic click echoed like thunder. _ Deb: “Safe? You think she’s safe with you?” _ The metallic click of the weapon echoed in the room. I froze, my body shielding Jennie instinctively. _ The tension snapped like a wire pulled too tight. Jennie trembled behind me and my fury sharpened into ice. _ Lisa: “Put it down. Or I swear, I’ll make you suffer in ways you can’t imagine.” _ Lisa (thinking): Jennie… I’ll protect you. And tonight, whoever this woman is, she’ll regret ever touching you. _ Deb’s POV _ Her finger tightened on the trigger, tattoos shifting as her grip steadied. _ Deb (thinking): She thinks she can protect Jennie? No. Jennie belongs to me. Lisa won’t take her away. _ Her smile twisted, eyes locked on Lisa. _ Deb: “You’ll bleed before she leaves with you.” _ Lisa’s POV The gun lifted, the barrel aimed straight at me. My body moved before thought — instincts sharper than fear. _ Lisa (thinking): Not Jennie. Not tonight. _ I shoved Jennie down behind me, my hand snapping to the nearest steel pipe lying on the floor. The moment that woman’s finger twitched, I swung. _ The gunshot cracked — deafening. The bullet grazed past, splintering wood.
