@doctor.bing: A child’s brain is learning from the environment around them long before they can understand or explain it. Feeling safe, supported, and protected early in life can help shape how the developing brain responds to stress for years to come. #BrainHealth #Neuroscience #brain #Science #Neurology
I had a chaotic childhood—unwanted unloved and passed around. I knew there was literally not one person on my side. My mother told me nobody loved me or wanted me and only she loved me but she starved me left me alone all night and told me I was a loser and never amount to a hill of beans.

Yeah, I felt very unsafe & alone throughout my entire childhood. I’m 71 & it still affects me to this day.

forget childcare, have moms (and/or dads) be the primary carer of their children until age 2 at least.

The problem for the rest of the life would be, trying to forget and forgive whoever destroyed your mental health in the childhood.

My daughter spent the first nine months of her life in a poor orphanage with minimal care. She is now 30 years old and has become a mom herself, and I am happy to say that she has developed into a beautifully functioning, person, an attentive and loving mother.

Do you agree with sleep training? I.e. once a child is two months old, it is left at bedtime -for up to two hours- to cry until it goes to sleep.

I cried and nobody came. I was hungry and was not fed. I was sick and got no medicine or even comfort but was left to deal with it on my own. I even broke my leg and got no treatment.

I was abused throughout my childhood & I now suffer from C-PTSD, depression & generalized anxiety disorder, likely for the rest of my life. The damage these people done to me is irreversible

No wonder, I use to get beaten because I didn’t eat much. My mom use to leave me on that table for hours all day long use to sleep there of tiredness. And she would go out and I got tied up to the bed. Use to get locked up frequently so I didn’t expect anything. Until CPS took me . But I still see myself tight up. I’m almost 60 now and took Therapy in my 20s but I still going back to certain episodes in childhood
