I think it's a movie-style because like Jean was a villain but then it switched to dodc leader or whatever his name was. Because i think i seen this style before

Damage Control kidnapped, tortured and killed a child just for the fact that she existed. But yeah, sure, he's "not the bad guy because he didn't smile". Like what? He thinks he's the good guy when he's not, of course he's not gonna act like a comic book villain. Doesn't make him less of a villain.
