One gland. One conversation that has not changed in years. Now think about what she did not do. She did not ask about your digestion. Your bloating. Your constipation. Your sleep. Your 2 AM wake-ups. Your brain fog. Your mood. Your hair." And she definitely did not mention your gut. In all your years of thyroid appointments. All the blood draws. All the dose adjustments. All the "looks fine" speeches. The organ that controls whether your medication actually works has never entered the conversation. Not once. Here is why that should change everything you think about your treatment. Your pill is T4. Inactive. Your gut converts up to 80% of it into T3. The active hormone.
