Is there a reason it took so long to find? I imagine the survivors were rescued from sea nearby. Plus they knew it was not far from San Juan... Is the answer just, it was 1952 😅.

if a plane can be found acter 7 decades, then so can the unmarked mass graves of indigenous americans, that government refuses to aide in. all which happened as recent as 3 decades ago.

There is a massive reason to stop looking, in this case they had a tiny area to search relatively compared to pretty much the entire Indian Ocean, ten times more information to go on Vs flight MH370 where they have a few pins to a satellite, they knew the plane was at least somewhat intact, where we know mh370 isn't because bits have been found on shore.

this is so cool to me because my dad has been watching the expedition unknown guy for years and a few months ago I was watching an episode about them searching the ocean for a plane, it could have been about this one. Its cool when I heard about this on the news

I think of this flight every time I listen to a safety briefing waiting for takeoff. I wonder how many could have been saved just from simply knowing where the life vests were located. I’ll always pay attention even when it feels like I’ve heard this speech a 100 times before.
