@fresh.new.tunes: One session was enough to create one of The Chainsmokers’ most recognizable tracks. 🌹 After discovering ROZES through her song “Limelight,” the duo connected with her and eventually got together at Drew’s apartment. ROZES had originally written the first verse over a completely different beat and key before Drew changed the melody, wrote the hook and built the production around it. The Chainsmokers later said the topline and production came together in around seven hours, during a period when they were moving away from traditional dance music and starting to make the music they genuinely wanted to hear.
