I really want to learn mandarin, but I’m having trouble finding a good course that won’t skip hanzi altogether or only have teachers who aren’t native speakers. I fear that learning with teachers that have Chinese as a second language might make it harder for me to learn the tones properly and I’ll later have to unlearn mistakes and it’s going to set me back a lot. Also, not every teacher is qualified to teach phonetics and tongue positioning properly, and these are so helpful… curiously, I’m not that scared of the hanzi as much as I am of the tones 🤣
