@maximumskin: This video made waves online because of a funny looking mole, that I could only focus on. The minute I opened the comments section, it was flooded with people telling her she has melanoma and is going to d!e. I think social media users need to take a breather before making comments like this because you can send someone into spiral of panic which is not healthy at all. If you see 99.99% of comments are people saying the same thing, why are you commenting it? This also goes to show why SELF DIAGNOSING is not a good thing. You cannot diagnose someone through a photo or a video or even with the naked eye sometimes, which is why this persons derm used a dermatoscope to further investigate. At this point, it does not look to be melanoma, but it appears to be getting removed (I think by the patients request, but that’s unclear) by a surgeon anyway. #sunprotection #melanoma #skincancer #dermatology #aestheticnurse
