Agreed. I think it's why many don't take bringing a pet into their lives seriously when they view it as ownership. Because then the pet becomes an object rather than a being. And ppl forget these are beings with lives, feelings, wants. Mine are my babies and I just try to give them the safest, most loving home and life. And I work really hard to ensure I can provide for them.

This has been on my mind! I started using caretaker a while ago, I also think we need to stop referring to animals as property if anyone is going to get in trouble for animal abuse
