I would call off if it was a health emergency now. And sometimes I get it its not that you love that job necessarily, it’s an escape from reality sometimes. My mom passed not long ago and work was my escape, I focused so hard that I had no time to grieve. No, this is not recommended, but some people find work comforting in certain times.
