We're changing things up tonight with these Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Bowls! Crispy chicken tossed in a sweet, savory, garlicky sauce with fresh veggies and fluffy rice. And YES...I made extra sauce because around here, dry chicken and rice is simply unacceptable. 😂 Easy enough for a weeknight, delicious enough that everybody thinks you did something fancy! 🍯🥢 Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Bowls Sweet, savory, garlicky chicken with just a little sticky goodness over fluffy rice. Add some crisp veggies and dinner is DONE. 🛒 Ingredients 1½ lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-size pieces 2 tbsp cornstarch Salt & black pepper 1–2 tbsp oil 3 cups cooked jasmine or white rice 2 cups broccoli florets 1 red bell pepper, sliced Green onions, sliced Sesame seeds for topping For that sticky honey garlic sauce: ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce ⅓ cup honey ¼ cup brown sugar 4 cloves garlic, minced 1 tsp fresh grated ginger 1 tbsp rice vinegar 1 tbsp sesame oil 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water Optional: 1–2 tsp sriracha or red pepper flakes 🌶️ 🥢 Let's Make It 1. Get the chicken crispy. Toss chicken with cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Heat oil in a large skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside. 2. Cook those veggies. Add broccoli and bell pepper to the same skillet. Sauté for about 4–5 minutes so they're tender but still have a little crunch. 3. Make the sauce. Add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and sesame oil. Let it gently bubble for 1–2 minutes. 4. Make it sticky! Stir together the cornstarch and water, then pour it into the sauce. Simmer until glossy and thickened. 5. Bring it together. Add the chicken back to the skillet and toss until every piece is coated in that sticky sauce. 🤤 🍚 Build Your Bowl Fluffy rice → honey garlic chicken → broccoli & peppers → extra sauce → green onions → sesame seeds. Messy Southern Tip: Double the sauce if your family likes everything EXTRA saucy. Trust me on this one. 😂 #TheMessySouthernHomeChef #AsianInspired #HoneyGarlicChicken #ChickenBowls #DinnerTime
