About 2 years ago I had been dancing at a bar and felt a tap on my shoulder, it was a girl from my high school who thanked me for making her feel welcome and behind kind to her when we were in school because she didn’t have many friends and was bullied by the “popular” kids and the jocks. She thanked me for not treating her differently for being “different” or “weird”. We hugged. She wasn’t different or weird people are just judgy. It’s still one thing that sticks with me because I didn’t even go out of my way I just treated her like the good human she is.

I‘m so happy this story had a positive ending because loneliness is truly heartbreaking 💔 Lord knows I had many many of these moments during my middle school days but one I started high school everything changed for the better 🥰 thank you for sharing these moments with us Chris ❤️

Today was not a great day for me. This reminded me to find the joy today! I woke up, I can go home to a cool home and take a hot shower and have a nice meal- What a blessing! We have to find the positive in all scenarios ❤️

Ah I had the same experience! I went into the bathroom and would eat alone in the stall because it was so hard to be alone and be seen alone. I like your perspective so much. I think experiences like that helped me become more thoughtful of others. Now that I’m a lot more confident and social, I always try to be that person who invites those who are shy or alone into conversations to get them involved! Difficult experiences make us better and help us help others!
