I don’t get why people hate the air and water show. It’s literally so dope and makes the city more fun and unique. Like if you don’t like festivals events or loud noises why live near the city. I understand that they can be loud but so is many car planes and sirens 🚨

everyone sooo mad that people dare to say the little plane show causes disruptions to people all week that can be very distressing for some 😭😭😭 anyone i know who lives in the vicinity of the lake/downtown complains. the noise & shaking(including building damage) it causes is not normal city noise???? lived in a city my whole life this is not the norm lmao

Imagine all of the kids, people with PTSD, anxiety disorders or any other ailment that might make the water show and the week before it hell. I HATE IT and there are so many other ways to bring revenue to the city and give free entertainment to the people. The “you’re not a true Chicagoan if you don’t like the water show” is bs and a weak argument.

In all reality, these jets are really not any louder than the constant planes you hear lined up to land at ohare…it’s seriously not that bad- they do a few practice runs through the weekday for like maybe a 1-2 hours midday
