Agree. The grass is green where you water it. The majority of issues we face in relationships are due to unresolved issues within ourselves, triggered in a relationship where you have nowhere to hide. Leaving one relationship and jumping for the next hoping for things to be better or different is wrong and naive. The same deep rooted unresolved issues in each of us will manifest regardless of who we are with. We should fix ourselves together instead of changing the person. Love is healing and growing together

Dating apps especially give this impression that everyone is just looking for the next best thing, you could match with someone you fancy and go on a date with them and get on really well but because you can still swipe through the apps you drop the good thing you could of had for the potential of another - quite dystopian?

don’t let social media convince you that there will always be someone better waiting for you, you might get so caught up in the illusion of endless choices that you overlook an authentic person who genuinely loves you chooses you and would give you the world and even if you never admit it to yourself one day you may realize that you traded something rare for something that only seemed better from a distance sometimes you throw away a diamond because you were too busy chasing something that only looked like it could shine

I don’t agree with this. I was always a person who would hang on despite it destroying me, whether it was a healthy or unhealthy relationship out of the fear this may be something precious that I need to continue to water. It wasn’t until I let go and no longer fought for what isn’t holding on to me that I felt free. Not all relationships are meant to stay around, and not all friendships require working out to maintain. Sometimes you just have to let go.. because even if nothing better comes around.. the fact you’re not hung up on someone who isn’t willing to meet you where you are because they truly value and enjoy you, is much more liberating than trying to understand how to navigate them.
