the third trimester is HARD. everything is heavier, sleep is worse, and yet, it’s still so important to show up for ourselves 🫶🏼 as an expecting mother in her 3rd trimester, here’s what I’ve kept consistent at: 1. movement, no matter how simple — walks, lighter weights, modified movements. the goal in the third trimester is to keep moving!! 2. pelvic floor work — I’m not talking just kegels. I’m doing full breath and pressure management to prepare my body for delivery and set up postpartum recovery before it starts. ✨ 3. upper body strength — as my lower body movements become more uncomfortable, upper body training stays accessible much longer, so im moving my efforts there. 4. walking — on the days where its all I can do, it is enough. walking supports circulation, reduces swelling, regulates cortisol, and keeps the body primed. 5. being consistent — showing up 4-5 days a week for 20 minutes beats one intense session every week and a half. 6. mobility — even if this does nothing for my body in labor or post partum, it helps me feeling good NOW and it’s genuinely been one of my favorite things I’ve done to all my expecting mamas - you’re doing amazing sweetie! 💖 one of the best resources I had during this pregnancy was a structured workout program to follow. I never had to wonder what to do — all I needed was to press play. head to the link in our bio + check out the PREGNANCY PROGRAM - a program designed for expecting mamas to keep you active through every trimester 🫶🏼
