Willy Ventadour :
On peut pardonner, mais on ne doit pas oublier. Oublier, c'est se condamner à recommencer les mêmes erreurs, c'est permettre aux autres de recommencer.

I understand the idea behind this, because when someone genuinely matters to you, little things can suddenly feel a lot bigger. If I don’t care about you, I’m probably not going to care that you seemed distant today, that you forgot something important to me, that your tone felt different, or that something happened between us that made me feel disconnected from you. But when I love you? Yeah, I might notice. I might ask what’s wrong. I might get hurt by something another person wouldn’t even think twice about, because your actions carry more emotional weight with me than everybody else’s. That’s part of vulnerability. The people we love have access to parts of us that random people simply don’t. But getting upset over little things isn’t automatically proof that someone loves you more. Jealousy, possessiveness, constant arguments, controlling behavior, or making your partner afraid of upsetting you shouldn’t be romanticized as “he only acts like this because he cares.” Mature love isn’t measured by how intensely someone reacts every time something bothers them. It’s measured by what they do with those feelings. A man can say, “That bothered me, can we talk about it?” without punishing you, controlling you, or turning every minor issue into a crisis. And honestly, that’s a much deeper kind of love. I don’t want someone who feels nothing toward me, but I also don’t want someone whose love means constantly walking on eggshells. Give me the person who cares enough for the little things to matter, but loves me well enough to handle those little things with communication, patience, and respect. Because wanting more than someone’s body isn’t just about caring intensely. It’s about caring responsibly.
