Nursing homes are absolutely horrible. My mom passed away on July 1st of this year due to negligence. When I went to pack her room up, her purse had been completely ransacked.

an employee at a hospital in Memphis took all the money out of my dads wallet when he was there losing his eye due to a penetrating injury. it’s disgusting, I’d loveeee to know who robbed my dad while he was having surgery 🥰

Families need to stop leaving valuables (cash, jewelry, checkbooks and credit cards). It prevents theft and other issues. At least add the money to the residents account with the facility so it’s safe. Recently had an issue where a scammer called a resident with dementia and got account and credit card info.

Our Fad was in a Seniors home and had things stolen.,During Covid. We couldn’t visit and one of the Nurses took advice of that. I always did everything including shopping for his extras etc. he had a bank card he would use for their outings when needed and all used for lunches etc. during Covid I noticed withdrawals of Cash and called to enquire as Dad had Parkinson’s and light Dementia and couldn’t do his own. Management told me that one of the Nurses was getting him the items needed as he gave permission. It seems to be a good thing as I didn’t have to buy, sterilize and then drop off. He then started saying that we were not visiting or calling, which was untrue for calls, and visiting was forbidden. I noticed bigger Amounts taken out and always bigger and bigger. I canceled his card and asked him about money and was told for items he wanted and it’s his money and he can give people money if he wants. Again reported and nothing to prove as we couldn’t go there. After he passed, we went to clean out his space and no money Clip,He also had 2 Big bottles of coins that went missing. Bottles were there but with less than half of the coins in it. One gold ring he had was also missing. You trust these people with your loved ones and they take advantage of.,Found out later from notebook he had to remember things had amounts to one Nurse and how he could help her get out a horrible Relationship with her child safely. She was feeding him stories about an Abuse Husband and could leave without money. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬💔

My great grandma (she was 99) used to hide Bobby pins in her bible and stick them in her ear to itch. But she was actually hurting her ears so I found them and got rid of them…she called the police on me lmao
