I live locally to Belvoir Castle and did my work experience there with the Comptroller at the time; I believe his name was Tim but I may be wrong. I *adore* the Castle. There are peacocks (the family emblem) high in the four corners of that room, and one is missing a leg. I recall I was told that the father of the present Duke shot it off with a toy bow and arrow as a child. I have no idea if it's true ☺️
