![My Favorite Spaghetti Sauce Recipe 😋 _1 Celery Stalk with Leaves _1 Whole Carrot, Peeled _100g Yellow Onion _3 28 oz cans peeled, diced tomatoes _1 14.5oz can peeled, diced tomatoes _3 Tbsp and 100 ml Olive Oil _10g coarse salt _Pepper, to Taste _Basil Leaves, Fresh (to Taste) [1] In a food processor, blend the carrot, celery, & onion with 100ml olive oil to make the soffrito. [2] Heat 3 Tbsp olive oil in a large pot, over medium heat. [3] Pour in the soffrito - cover & simmer for 15-20 minutes (stir occasionally) [4] Add the 3 large cans of peeled, diced tomatoes & 118g of the small can of tomatoes to a large bowl. Use a hand immersion blender to blend well. [5] Once the soffrito has darkened, add the blended tomatoes to the large pot and stir. Add 10g coarse salt and pepper to taste - stir well. [6] Cover & simmer for 1 hour (stir occasionally). [7] Remove lid & simmer for another 30-45 minutes. [8] Turn off heat. Add desired amount of basil (I used a handful) - leave the basil whole or in large pieces. ☆ladle 3-4 scoops into separate bowls and cool uncovered in the fridge (keep for 7 days) or freeze to keep for a few months ☆makes 4 family meals/dinners for a family of 4 ☆works great for spaghetti, pizza, or your favorite meatball sub #amateurfoods #spaghettisauce #basiltomatosauce #basil #spaghetti #marinara #pizza #familymeals #dinner #mealprep #Foodie](/video/cover/7436164684216192302.webp)
