I’ve blocked Paige Hanna. I see no joy in her. There is joy that should come from loving the Lord, in my personal opinion

Why are so many Christians scared to show joy in the Lord. Guys we can have fun! There’s time for being serious and time for fun. The Lord wants you to laugh and feel joy! Same thing happens when Ally Yost said to have fun. She was attacked by Christians. The joy of the Lord is my strength

i understand her point and yes Jesus is not an aesthetic but she is like coming at people as if she is more holier and them and there is no joy, it’s so sad :(

What boggles my mind about this whole debacle is why we Christian’s are so easily prone to idolize people or give people (influencers) the power to affect your walk/ relationship with the Lord over a single trend. Do people not have discipleship within your own church? People that can help keep you accountable? Is your relationship with God so stale that you do not have the discernment or ability to heed the voice of the Holy Spirit? I grew up Pentecostal and a lot of the doctrine I was raised in was extreme pharisaical. I found no joy in anything because all I had been taught was either demonized or worldly. I’m so glad that the Lord removed me from where I was, and placed me in a church where it’s taught that we must have community within the body and have more than one person for discipleship to helps us in accountability and our walk. We need to stop putting our walk in the hands of people we do not see, speak with nor walk life with.

I think personally it’s a distraction, I do believe somethings can be trendy and performative but we also need to pray before we posts things wrong or right is how I see the whole situation. I low-key didn’t know the trend until it was debated. Just another pointless division debate in the body.

exactly!! & Sometimes we can become so focused on telling everyone else what they should and shouldn’t be doing that we forget what we’re actually called to do: point people to Christ. Personal conviction is not always a universal command from God, and having a platform doesn’t mean every conviction needs to become a rule for everyone else.
Biblical correction has a place, but Scripture says to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and to restore others with gentleness (Galatians 6:1). Conviction is the work of the Holy Spirit; our job isn’t to constantly police everyone around us.
If our message is always “you’re wrong, you shouldn’t do this, real Christians don’t do that,” but people rarely hear the hope, grace, joy, and good news of Jesus from us, we should examine what we’re representing. Truth without love can push away the very people we’re supposed to be reaching. Following Jesus is serious, but the gospel is still good news♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

I think I understand what you’re trying to say and imply, but the current earth we are living in is not where we will reside. Revelation 21 speaks of a NEW Heaven and NEW earth. Also, you are wrong about being “of this world” as John 17 explicitly states we, as His follower, are not of this world just as He is not.

I’m not going to call anyone lukewarm or irreverent because of a word. Regardless of whether it’s performative or not, it’s spreading the gospel/ showing following Christ in a positive way. If reverence is what she wants to talk about , then she can make a separate series about it, not use this as a gate way to bash people and THEN try to speak about reverence. There’s tact and love that can be used to voice opposing views.

The Bible CLEARLY tells us that those who are [truly] in Christ are NOT of this world. I only cap those specific words to emphasize. Nothing there or what I’m about to share is done out of a “holier than thou” spirit, but of truth. And, as Jesus assured, the [full] gospel truth offends. So many of you and so many “pastors” are teaching from your own beliefs, what you’ve been influenced or taught to believe, what feels comfortable, what justifies your own life choices, etc. And that’s not biblical.
