Sometimes it’s about control — over your money, your phone, your transportation, your relationships, or even your ability to leave. So ask yourself: 1️⃣ If I needed to leave this person tomorrow, could I? 2️⃣ Do I still have control over my own money, phone, transportation, and identification? 3️⃣ Am I making these choices because I genuinely want to, or because I’m afraid of what will happen if I don’t? These questions don’t automatically mean someone is being trafficked. But recognizing changes in control can help us recognize unsafe situations sooner. Awareness isn’t about living in fear.
