When I was planning my wedding I inquired at a venue and they responded back “we’re so glad your client is interested in having a wedding here” and that’s when I realized it was way out of my tax bracket lol

eloped in New Orleans. did their small wedding chapel, less than 50 ppl, had a marching band walk us down bourbon street. it was great less than 10k with flights, dress, hotel ect

Look at hotels!! People rag on it but we got married at a double tree Hilton in Westchester NY (it’s sadly closed now) and it was amazing!! Out of town guests didn’t have to drive anywhere after and it was incredibly affordable!! Food was incredible everything was beautiful

Best thing my husband and I did was rent a giant cabin in the mountains. We hosted our entire wedding party and had the ceremony on the huge patio. 4k (10 years ago) for three nights. We diyed almost everything, but man I would do it again.

My first wedding was on the beach on Cape cod and it was free. My second wedding will be at the courthouse and also free lol. I can't fathom why people would want to start a marriage off thousands of dollars in debt but that's just me I guess

Ok now learning it’s Port Jervis and not the middle of nowhere I’m still shocked but less surprised. Thats really close to the city, NJ and PA and has a stop on the metro north. You should look at June Farms! They are east of Albany, BEAUTIFUL venue, and I don’t know the pricing but definitely not $350,000. Not on the water though.
