@inspiredmediaco: this is NOT to dogpile on this creator. by this video and her recent posts, it’s clear she is hurting (physically and mentally), she’s human, she made mistakes, and as a large influencer, she is being looked at through a microscope. #1 this is NOT a reason to send ANY hate her way but an oppurtunity to learn. here’s the shortened version on how i’d restructure the video: KEEP: opening with vulnerability and emotion (something she did do) —> go deeper on the medical side of what she’s experiencing EDIT: lead with transparency, accountability, and ACTION STEPS TO MOVE FORWARD (this is huge. it’s not enough to take accountability, the viewer has to know you’re actually DOING something about it. EDIT: provide VALUE. learn from me and with me EDIT: change CTA from “here’s my gofundme” to pitching a partnership (taking a proactive angle and not burdening the viewer to “solve it.”) rarely do influencers publicly pitch brands, so her doing an open pitch is still her putting herself out there BUT ALSO shows proactivity (almost debunking the narrative that influencers are lazy, don’t do anything, etc). i wanted to use this situation to bring an educational perspective on PR, financial literacy/transparency as someone who has supported creators share “heavier” messages on their platform and do it in a way that speaks the language of their community. communication on social media isn’t like real life. the truth is: social media lacks context, there’s already so many negative perceptions on the creators economy, social media loves extremes and hates nuance. let’s have a healthy and constructive conversation in the comments.🤍 #creatoreconomy #personalbrand #influencermarketing
