I just broke up with my boyfriend, who, was dead set on me getting married to him immediately after high school and his parents were all in asw- my studies started suffering and I started reasoning with myself and telling myself that I wanted this and I was okay with giving up on my dreams and having kids- my mother sat me down and had this heartfelt conversation with me about her first marriage and how she never completed her education and did what she wanted with her life although she was capable. i broke up with him a week later, and he called me crying and his mom called my mom crying but we just blocked the both of them.
