They only work because they exist in a super hero universe. They hate mutants because of there powers solely because they’re mutants. Marvel society irrationality only hates them for having powers but no one else (most of the time) that’s why too me the allegory always really falls flat when the story is too self contained or when they don’t acknowledge that hypocrisy because then it because what you said in the video

This is such a terrible argument you’re literally just saying well in real life black people don’t have powers so it can’t be racism in the comics well duh but this doesn’t actually mean anything. The reason it’s racism is because of what occurs in the comics the X-men exist in and that’s why it’s a good allegory if all it takes is the X-men being an actual threat to the people around them by casually existing why is it that no one builds sentinels to target the fantastic 4? Johnny storm by himself can literally destroy the earth how about the avengers Thor is stronger than 99% of mutant kind and yet he’s basically a celebrity to earth. Also your argument doesn’t work considering the fact that the overwhelming majority of mutant kind actually doesn’t have destructive abilities meaning they are solely being hunted for being mutants not because they’re walking bombs.

Most mutants that are attacked for being mutants don't have the power to defend themselves, but people don't care. More people have been hurt by Sentinels then mutants, but people don't care. Tony Stark has been a bigger threat to people then mutants but people don't really care.

It’s still a allegory. The example he made of a “walking bomb” does not correlate for every mutant. For example citizens attack mutants who aren’t a “walking bomb” they would just look different, but the attack is because a “walking bomb” did do something at some point in time. Comparison to today black people who are innocent get penalized when a total different black person commit a crime. I don’t see how that still isn’t an allegory? Not all mutants have powers alot are just a deformed/transformed, or different color individual
