they was no Tanzania before independence it was Tanganyika... and during German it's was called Dutch East Africa which includes Rwanda and Burundi was part of Tanganyika... and it was sprited into 3 countries in 1919 after German loss WWI the Tanganyika was pardoned by British and the other Burundi and Rwanda was under Belgium if not France
