was chatting with my 70+ year old gran on her birthday. she was telling me about how she already outlived her dad, and next year she will outlive her mum. i told her i was sure she would live far longer than they did, and i looked forward to many more years with her. she said “god i sure hope not. who wants to live that long”. it made me sad, but i could tell by the way she spoke of her parents, and siblings, she’s looking forward to joining them.
