I love this shit. Explain to me how all different groups of people from all different areas (that had no way to contact each other) have the same stories and creatures. Dragons, vampires and werewolves, mermaids, etc.

i can see you're very much a man of physical works, but do you also explore archive.org for interesting books and texts? I find myself trawling it all the time and have saved probably around 75 19th century and early 20th century medical texts I've read and so many more I'm yet to read. I'd love to see interesting ones you've got saved if you do and happy to share mine!

i had a friend fromna remote village in Transilvania, (and no, its not a joke), I used to stay with his familly and visit often. He told me that they had an old man who was not alive anymore (died of old age) that was considered to be warewolf. Varcolac in romanian. He was a normal part of the village life, just lived a more secluded life. His claims were that he would start running into the woods at strange times in the evening then wake up at miles away, not knowing how and why he got there. My friend said he saw once a wolf come out from the place said man just walked into the wood. He would not harm anyone, was just a bit avoided as he kept the distance too. I wanted to ask him more but he did not want to say more. He was serious about it.
