I'd take this concept in comics more seriously if the alternative wasnt their partner having a hissy fit over ANY basic information the protagonist tells them. how are you expected to continously confide in somebody that will never understand it/ repeatedly chastised for even being a hero

Peter, MJ, and Felicia for sure. But does Terry, Dana, and Melanie even count? There is some emotional cheating in her second appearance, but Melanie never learns Terry’s identity, so I feel like she never gets to play the true confidant in that way even though they’re both capes.

on peter mj and Felicia, it's kinda the opposite because Felicia and Peter were the ones actually dating while he was having that weird almost dating we're really close arc, then Peter and MJ got married like 6 issues after the break up

The thing with Mark and Eve though at first I wouldn't say was emotional cheating cause they knew each other's Identity before Amber and Mark were dating. Mark had no idea how he felt about if until her future version told Mark that she was in love with him and he still didn't even pursue after yet until he had time to figure it out.
