@trial_trackers: A TikTok creator could become a witness in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial. Emily Thorndike is a licensed clinical social worker who previously worked at McLean Hospital, including on the unit where Clancy was hospitalized shortly before the deaths of her three children. Thorndike was not employed there when Clancy was admitted and never treated her. After Thorndike posted TikTok videos criticizing how McLean had been portrayed during the trial, defense attorney Kevin Reddington learned about the videos and had an investigator contact her. The defense now wants Thorndike to testify about her personal experience with staffing, resources and programming at McLean during weekends and holidays. Prosecutors oppose the request, arguing she has no firsthand knowledge of Clancy’s stay and has been following the trial online. Judge William Sullivan has not yet ruled but said he may first question Thorndike outside the jury’s presence and could limit any testimony to staffing issues. Clancy is charged with murdering her children, Cora, Dawson and Callan.
