What a wonderful way to honour her memory I always support doing it through food! My dad passed away a year ago and because I was no contact with my mother. No one told me that he was in hospice or that he had passed, so I did not get the opportunity for so many things it’s taking a year to come to peace with that because it’s not about him it’s about them and they can keep that shit I’ll continue to honour his memory with the small things that we shared together in a few photos I have of him. Just continue to give yourself grace through the process.

I have an interview for a new position at work i have to prepare for on Monday. For my family it means a raise in my pay, more time with my kids at bed time no closing shifts where I miss bed time.

Give yourself grace. We held my mom’s service months after she passed and I was the same when it was done. It’s like it’s the final piece of what you needed to do for her and after it’s just a blank slate of having to move forward. Walks in the sunshine, live music and watching my kids laugh helped me. And your presence and stories is a comfort to many, don’t ever think you haven’t been there for people
