She is mostly wrong. Walking from the north of central Stockholm to the south of central is about 1,5 hour walk. If you stay in the city center and only go to tourist spots its probably under 30min walk. The temperature goes from 15c to 30c dress how ever you want. You Will see most Swedes have t-shirt and shorts. It does not rain a lot in Stockholm. You do not need a poncho.

The weather is SO shifting! You may as well get rain, windy, chilly as 25-30 degrees (Celsius) and sunny beach weather this time of the year.

The thing with the weather in Sweden regardless of season is that it is impossible to predict. We had really warm weather just a few days ago and now the temperature suddenly has dropped to like early autumn like and it is quite windy. But apparently it will be summery and warm again this weekend… 🤷♀️. So to say that August in Stockholm is cold when it just as well could be 30 degrees Celcius is not correct. As a visitor - checking the weather apps in advance is a good idea
