@girlwithsunglassesss: Lindsay Clancy trial day 11- court is done for the day & we learned W&I wouldn’t treat Lindsay Clancy because they believed she was over medicated #lindsayclancy #lindsayclancytrial #truecrimetok #truecrime #justice
I am textbook ADHD. But instead of being seen as having rejection sensitivity or intense feelings, being a woman I was seen as being fearful of abandonment and emotionally dysfunctional. The switch in wording and lack of bg investigation (I am adopted) gave me BPD as a diagnosis. I couldn’t get better. I kept hitting a plateau. Finally I asked for ADHD testing; I felt that was it. I fit it perfectly. My doctor also suggested a couple other tests and I have depression, ADHD, and CPTSD. I have medications and therapies that fit these diagnosis and I am actually able to live a stable life. It’s great. It just sucked that discrimination and lack of investigation gave me the wrong diagnosis for over a decade. I wonder if that’s what the other 16 drs did - instead of seeing her being manic and hyper focused, they saw a mom being emotional and responded as such.

As someone who survived medically induced psychosis as a result of being prescribed 7 SSRI’s and 2 benzos at one time, all these Dr’s should lose their license. It resulted in me attempting to take my own life. I can tell you from experience, her care team was absolutely reckless at best.

As a suicide survivor MYSELF, you do not always have a plan UNTIL the day you truly decide you are just done. I didn’t have a plan for MONTHSSSS showed no signs to family until the day I decided to have a plan and did it. Thankfully I am alive and happy to be alive.

I’m sorry but I don’t understand the inpatient program refusing to take her in “because she was over-medicated” WOULDNT THAT BE A PRIME EXAMPLE OF A PATIENT THAT THEY SHOULD TAKE IN

“I need help” “here’s 27 pills” “I need help” “sorry, you’re on too many meds” FFS! Makes me so angry.

I feel like part of her mania was demonstrated in her constant worry and messaging about the meds

I hate that all of her doctors were women and they didn’t even try to help her. They all failed her.

People who commit suicide didn't have an exact plan until they did, and it was over and done with by that point. That's the most ridiculous and negligent criteria required to take someone seriously when they talk about suicide.

I’m sorry but does anyone genuinely whole heartedly wanting to end them selves actually tell literally anyone their ‘plan’? I’m lucky to not be experienced in this in anyway so I am genuinely asking

Until closing arguments I dont think I will fully understand the route that prosecution are trying to take here.

Also the fact the Patrick was speaking for her in some of those appointments rather than having Lindsay speak for herself says controlling to me.

Pretty sure being overmedicated is in fact a reason to hospitalize to stabilize, no?

Did no one catch the prosecution in rebuttal ask Jollotta that Lindsay didn't tell her to talk to her other doctors and that's why she didn't get other medical records (or something very similar), since when is it up to the patient asking for professional help to tell the professional what to do or basically how to do their job?? Like how was that on Lindsay to tell her to do that?

To me one thing that stuck out this entire trial so far is how crappy America healthcare system is. A person can say they are suicidal but if they don’t have a PLAN as of yet you turn them away?

It was charted numerous times “intrusive thoughts.” What thoughts did she have? Nobody listed them. Panic symptoms? What were her symptoms? Who listed them? Referred your patient to a specialty provider and didn’t attempt to get records. Was she seen, was she treated? It was YOUR referral. Patients are coming to you for mental crisis assistance. They’re not responsible for coordinating their own care.

… Do we know what Lindsay did actually??? because with all the red flags that's coming out with Patrick I don't think we can count him out as having committed these murders tbh.

If they documented that they called this nurse and she never called back —- that’s them covering their own ass because they knew Lindsay needed help and they documented that she DID NOT CALL BACK.

They still should have kept her because overmedication is just as dangerous. She needed to detox in a safe place away from family to just sleep.
