@crmnallyobsessed: Did you catch this exchange during Lindsay Clancy's trial on Monday? What do you think? Is a discrepancy involving a single word in Clancy's psychiatrist's notes a legitimate red flag — or did defense attorney Kevin Reddington blow it out of proportion? WHAT HAPPENED: This tense back-and-forth centered on an apparent discrepancy over whether Clancy exhibited “pressured speech,” a potential symptom of bipolar disorder. Reddington pointed to an instance in Dr. Jennifer Tufts' clinical notes that he argued showed Clancy had exhibited pressured speech, despite Tufts testifying otherwise. Tufts said Reddington was misinterpreting her notes. WHAT LED UP TO IT: Dr. Tufts had 14 visits with Lindsay Clancy between September 2022 and January 2023, the last on the day Clancy killed her three children. Reddington spent more than half the day Monday challenging Tufts' expertise and questioning decisions she made in treating Clancy, including the medications she prescribed and her use of telehealth visits rather than in-person assessments. WHY IT MATTERS: Tufts diagnosed Clancy with depression and anxiety, but not bipolar disorder. The defense argues Clancy was misdiagnosed and medications Tufts prescribed to her contributed to the postpartum psychosis Clancy says she was experiencing when she killed her children. #lindsayclancy #lindsayclancytrial
This right here is why note accuracy matters folks. you just never know when you might be called to the ol' witness stand.

The way this Dr just ended her own career. Aside from writing the medical record properly, her attitude is absolutely disgusting.

Even if it is a genuine mistake, that also affects her credibility because who is going to believe someone who couldn’t even keep an accurate record

Probably a grammatical issue but her attitude reveals a lot about her ability to admit she’s wrong or out of her depth, and gives insight into how she might treat patients when challenged

If it isn’t charted, it isn’t done. If it is charted, it did happen. Nursing 101. If you’re saying you falsified information in a medical record… there needs to be another trial in the near future.

Nope. If you signed off on it, it becomes part of the official record. You’re not gonna be there when another person is reviewing those records.

So if another doctor read that, how would they interpret it? The same as the lawyer would because the “not” isn’t present 🤷🏼♀️
