As a trans man, doctors refused to test me for autism prior to my transition but after it was EASY to get tested and diagnosed. The gender bias is definitely a real thing.

Same with adhd. When our hormones start going mental in peri-menopause we often lose the ability to mask/compensate and symptoms escalate massively. So many women are being diagnosed in their 40’s after being told we were lazy/didn’t care/useless our entire lives. It is both soul destroying and potentially career destroying - you start thinking “what if”… we could have been so much more if we weren’t ignored and dismissed. It sucks.

Why would they split MMR from one shot into THREE shots; kids are already petrified and terrified by injections... sounds so abusive to me!!! Sheesh. Yeah this administration is just the tip of the iceberg. It's a regime. (Did I spell regime right? Oh well...)

when i was growing up, only boys had ADD/ADHD(which it was NEVER called when I was young) I believe science and doctors. I'm 99% sure I have undiagnosed ADHD and 75% sure I'm autistic.

lots of women in their 30s or 40s are getting dx because their kid did and the Dr was like... you should get tested too

Also autism looks different in girls than boys. My 26 yr old daughter is definitely on the spectrum but they never diagnosed her because they didn’t start focusing on the girls until she was older. They started focusing on the girl’s symptoms in 2015-2020 and she was almost graduating from high school beginning college in that timeframe.
