Another weird thing is that plug in hybrid Volvo’s have a front fog light button but have no actual front fog lights.

every car in europe js required to have rear fog lights, front is not required to have and since volvo is european it's standard by european law. every eu car has a rear fog light. usa import to the netherlands without a rear fog light needs one mounted for the yearly inspection by law, so that's why 😁

Isn't rear foglights a legal requirement in America? In Europe or at least in Sweden they have to work and you'll get a citation for not using it

That’s not where it is in every car. Mine’s a 2019 and it’s near the gas/trunk button on the dash on the left. What years are you talking about? Mine is a T5 S60 Inscription

they're technically called parking lights, but they can be used for both. they're great as sort of rear headlights at night
