For everyone saying they feel baited…want to point out that it’s a bit of anything people love to tell…that this is the most radioactive statue in NYC. I find using actual science pretty exciting.

There was a explainer video I had seen that explains why Hiroshima and Nagasaki aren’t as radioactive as say Chernobyl. It has in part to do with the air burst of the weapons.

The atomic bombs dropped on Japan exploded in air and since they did not mix with ground, materiel on the ground was damaged by the energy, but almost nothing was left radioactive. The brass has little to do with it.
