I almost got hit by an high schooler on an e bike while I was crossing the street at a crosswalk and the rider of the bike told me to watch out and then yelled at me for crossing the street legally and safely because a car stopped for me and they did not on their bike. It makes me mad!

We have kids on e-scooters and bikes all over the place near my house and the parents of those kids are SO SICK of defending their kids “rights” to ride around town. Excuse me please for having the community try to show some concern for your kid before they get hurt or hurt someone else and go to jail. I’ve yet to see one parent talk about, “I didn’t realize at first but yeah…they don’t look safe so my kid doesn’t ride anymore.” They’re just all out there riding at dawn for wheels that don’t care about them.

They're all over our local scanner page. Its divided half and half of people saying kids are just having fun could be on tablets and those saying someone's going to get hurt.

Oof...one of our neighbors called my parents to inform them that she felt I was "hot rodding" down the road. Guess who lost her driving privileges for a week? I wish my parents would've told her she wasn't in their village, except she was my grandma.

The amount of kids riding electric scooters to school without helmets is scary! I almost got taken out by one walking back from drop off!

Recently, I saw a older teenager riding an electric scooter in my grocery store where I was working. Did you not and apparently that’s not the first time that has happened. One of my coworkers told me he told the kids how you can’t ride this in the store and the kid looked at him like oh you can’t?

Those things are so scary! I don’t know what parents are thinking!! We saw two middle school age nboys in our neighborhood WITHOUT helmets driving crazy!

My son's middle school this year is making the personal transportation device students register their ebikes etc, sign a safe use agreement, and take a CHP safety course in order to get a parking permit for the bike storage area on campus with their helmet.

Brings back a memory....once I was picking up my daughter in middle school a high school driver came through the parking lot too fast and nearly hit 2 kids. We'll I tracked down her mom and told her out of concern. I was told to stay of their business. Literally a week later the same student driver totaled her car and was severely injured. Hmmmm.
