@evpj._: on august 19, 2016 i was sitting on the floor of my living room watching the olympics when this pain started in my left knee. i assumed it was growing pains. that was a friday, and by monday i couldn’t bear weight on that leg without excruciating pain. 6 months later i was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at 13. this may seem over dramatic af but i’ve been in pain every single day since that first day. it’s been my life for the last 10 years and it’s going to continue to be unless i magically “grow out of it” like i was once told. there are good days and there are bad days but it is always there. i may know how to handle it now but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t affect every decision i make and everything i do. it’s also more than just the pain, there’s the heat intolerance, the fatigue, the numbness and tingling and so many other annoying parts. it doesn’t define me but at the same time, without it i wouldn’t be the person i am today, character development if you will. #fibromyalgia #xray #ultrasound #mri #chronicpain
