that's the good thing about Samsung. any problems you have, chances are there's a setting to fix it. so many settings the device has its own option search bar

It's actually for convenience. I would prefer to close the phone and put it in my pocket and that's it. It's not like it would continue in the background because what if it's on volume? What if it accidentally clicks when I close the phone. I personally would leave it like it is.

See, this is why I love Android. They had the setting preset to never because they were either guessing that most people would just want the app to be closed, but on the off chance that people wanted it to continue, they put the option there. Versus if Apple had a feature like this, they would have it work one way and one way only.
