I was 10 in 1985 when we got cable and I was introduced to Harry Caray on WGN. I would rush home after school to catch as much of the Cubs game that was left. Watching Dawson win MVP in 1987. When they finally put lights on Wrigley on 8-8-88. But the show was always Harry. He made the games fun to watch and entertaining.

Harry, Steve, and Thom were simply great. Before Pat Hughes came it was Thom on the radio innings 1-3 and 7-9. 4-6 was Harry on the radio. They are the reason this Southside kid became and still is a Cub fan.

Harry (& Stoney) announced way more losing Cubs seasons than winning ones but each season was entertaining no matter what the record. It’s a shame that the Rickets have the fans searching all over the cable channels to find where to watch the Cubs now a days. 🤷🏽♂️⚾️
