In my younger years I worked as a server and had a table-mom & her two kids. They ordered, I made sure they were taken care of. They had a great time and were there a while. When they were done, the mom grabbed my arm & apologized she couldn’t leave me a tip. You could tell that getting to go out and eat wasn’t something they could do a lot. I smiled and told her that helping her create a great memory with her kids was tip enough. You never know someone else’s path they walk.

Maybe they need to look at WHY they got a shiitty tip in the first place. I tip based on service. If you suck, your tip sucks. 🤷♀️I said what I said. And if you dont suck, you get 20%+

I was a waitress for 30 years we did not have social media but I never would have shamed anyone . Even ones who left me a penny, they thought they were being funny. Let It Go wasn't worth the hassle. I made up for it from other tables.

Anyone who complains bout a customer not tipping them should look at themselfs because yes some customers might not tip well and others tip based on the level of service they receive smile, mood, how attentive you are to the customer so to complain about tips to me seems like you need to look with yourself

Here in Finland we do not have tip culture. you can tip if you want but it is not a common thing or even expected. It is just rude to shame someone for not tipping

bro.. when I was a waitress I had customers not even pay the bill.. couldn't go on social media cause it didn't exist.. and I wouldn't've done it anyways had there been social media.. I had cried because I thought I was gonna get in trouble... manager was amazing and helped me out.. that server/waitress/waiter deserved it..

I went and got my nails done one time a long time ago. I had the appointment set and I thought I had enough money in my account to get my nails done and a tip and I found out very quickly. I only had an extra five dollars so I left the five dollars I was getting paid at the end of that week and I told him even though I don’t think he believed me but I was gonna be back and I did. I went right fucking back the minute I got paid and I gave him the extra money he deserved for doing my nails. It was like 20 or $25 in tip because he did amazing nail art and like all the stuff like he was awesome and I went to him for years when I could still afford to get my nails done.
