I was forgetting the fact that evil Nikki is literally a psycho murderer? she may be the victim of the story at the same time her evil counterpart is not innocent.Yes the context in which why she is it’s horrible at the same time it’s no different from most other horror icons.

It feels CRAZY to just commercialize and reduce Nikki down to your average horror villain running around Halloween parties - like, this was a victim who did what she did through no fault or control of her own. It feels very Squid Game-esque, like how Netflix completely commercialized it to the point where it took away from the original IP’s message.

Isn’t it established that the possessed Nikki is its own being? The real Nikki is depicted as trapped in her own body watching the events play out of the being that has subsumed her original personality. So the roaming character of Nikki wouldn’t be depicting the victim, but the thing bear made take control of her, which is objectively, the physical horror presence of the movie. This is the most effective way this concept can be applied to this movie, you don’t have to personally like the idea, but acting like you don’t understand why they made the choice is definitely silly.
