I think that in our current TikTok-ification of discourse we have today, we truly don’t realize how delicate of a balance trailblazers have to take to become trailblazers and how much nuance is needed to discuss these topics fully. She was a brilliant actress who had to learn to navigate in the world where her parents hadn’t even been seen as people, legally, when they were born.
