People have some really BONK panning for some reason. I think most phones have built in stereoscopic mics and other people are just doing weird audio post processing too. Another thing it took me forever to realise, on your iPhone they pan left to the speakers at the top of the phone and right to the bottom speakers. I almost always default to central panning because I kind of hate stereo panning even in music

If you're open to suggestions I've helped a few streamers with their audio setup. I also have a friend with about 90k worth of audio gear and we often discuss and try out new stuff monthly. Expensive gear can be really nice, but the audio market is actually one of the few sectors not heavily impacted by ai so the budget options are getting really really good.

there's a horror movie on HBO called Undertone that plays with spatial headphone volume a lot. I didn't love it but it's an interesting movie.
