My kids wake up peed on every single morning because they don’t get up at night to go pee they’re 5 and 3 and I make sure to bathe them every morning before school because I tell them that hygiene is so important and that I don’t want them going to school smelling like urine. Sometimes my 5 year old son gives me a hard time in the morning when it comes to brushing his teeth but I’m honest with him and I tell him that his teacher doesn’t want to be smelling his stinky breath if he doesn’t brush his teeth. I was never taught good hygiene growing up in the 90s and now I make sure I teach my children good hygiene habits. They wake up bathe, put lotion on, wear clean clothes, comb their hair, brush and floss their teeth and then off to school they go. Growing up I hated showering lol and my mom wouldn’t force me either. She wouldn’t even comb my hair or brush my teeth. I force my kids because it’s me wanting what’s best for them, they’re little and don’t know any better, we have to make sure that we are teaching them as their parents what good hygiene habits are.

My son and I are always arguing about putting deodorant on but I promise that's the only smell coming from my kids and best believe I have tackled his 11 year old self on the floor to put deodorant on him 🤣

teachers are mandated reporters btw and sending your child smelling like weed or consistently dirty or not bathed they’re required to report. if you’re a teacher it’s your job to report

As someone who knoew a family that was sleeping in their car and mama was doing her best maybe don’t judge just saying. Yea hygiene is everything but 1 you got people who think natural smell is ok and you don’t know home life situations.
